Tsetserra’s History
The name, Tsetserra (pronounced sit-Sarah) Growth Partners originates from the family history of company founder Malcolm Peace. The name symbolically honors generations of his family's hard work and carries the torch forward.
Malcolm's family were dairy and cattle producers near the border of Mozambique and Zimbabwe at the base of Mount Tsetserra.
Their farm was an integral part of the community as a large employer and provider of vital resources to the families nearby. Unfortunately, political changes during the Mozambique civil war forced the family to abandon the farm and move to Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and rebuild what they previously established.
The Peace family learned to keep moving forward while overcoming the hardships of life near Tsetserra. When they eventually chose to leave Africa and come to Texas, they took that resilience and entrepreneurial spirit with them. Malcolm Peace carries on his family legacy with the values learned on Tsetserra.
Throughout his childhood, Malcolm gained a deep appreciation of his family's ability to apply grit and persevere, creating successful entrepreneurial ventures in any environment. He also learned to value the solid foundations established by other business owners.
Malcolm has an unrelenting focus on continually learning and improving. However, when he purchases a business, he is not solely focused on change. He honors its stories, histories, and the vision of the founder.
Malcolm attended college at James Madison University on a full academic and athletic tennis scholarship. Malcolm attended the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business, earning an M.B.A. and coaching the men's tennis team to back-to-back national championships.
After college, Malcolm worked directly with small-to-medium-sized businesses across the nation, improving their systems and marketing efforts. In 2018, he founded Tsetserra Growth Partners to bring his knowledge to businesses, at home, in Texas.
Today, Malcolm resides in Austin with his wife and daughters. Enjoying the time with his family and all Texas has to offer.
